Stop in for a cup of coffee

Enjoy your day. odd you mentioned Chinese. I just had 6 fried dumplings for my breakfast.

I love the pan-fried ones...one of those stories that shows how people might remember you for a long time...when I sold encyclopedias, we would go have something filling to eat before the manager dropped us off in a neighborhood in the late afternoon...he had a heart of gold but had gotten very, very big, and he said "get them pan-fried." They ended up being one of my Dad's favorite foods and in the months before he got put in the nursing home, he would drive to the Chinese restaurant in his small town...I asked the staff if my Dad ever didn't pay (dementia) and they didn't really answer, so I don't know, they might have fed him for free. But yes get them pan-fried:thumbsup:

HEY WHY IS TONY S DOING WHEELIES ON THE TRACK?

they have expiration dates on them - I have at least two that I know are past date, they won't fill them

I think that they test them every so often to make sure that they are still safe...

Turn it in and hopefully they will see it's "expired" and go through the testing and get it re-certified....

Find a Home Depot. They have a fully automated set service exchange set up. 20 bucks for a full, new propane tank, simply put your empty in the slot the machine says. The machine doesn't check dates. Easy peasy

Hey folks.

Alone out in the summer house tonight. Drove my daughter to film camp. She's spending a week with kids her age learning and doing all sorts of stuff related to shooting films. When we pick her up Saturday, there will be a screening of whatever they've managed to produce. Really looking forward to that!

On my way here, I decided on the color scheme of my car. Polestar blue with semi-flat black details; rims, grille, trim (most of it deleted) and black or bright yellow engine. Low but not low like a modern car.

Now all I have to do is make it happen ...

Morning gents, upper 80s here today, a little humid for around here40%. Drinking coffee and watching shark week.

morning.

Hey guys. Question for you all, that 64 polara of mine, original points car, switched to electronic ignition. The main body harness catches fire the moment you turn the key. I'm wanting to attempt to run the engine. I can get the thing to crank by jumping the terminals, but unsure from this point what I need to do to essentially by pass the main harness for now? The other option is I pick up a points dizzy from hoppy for the poly 318 and convert it back to points, which I have no problem with, but I'm completely unfamiliar with point setups on these cars. I'm not looking to drive it, mainly looking to see if the thing will run after sitting for 16 years.

don't know those cars at all - the first thing would think you might want to do though is set up a remote start switch and kill the power to the harness(es) - maybe pull all the fuses then work backwards to see what can/can't do without

at the risk of stating the obvious - there has to a short and I would think it wouldn't all too hard to find
We found the short, it's the entire fuse box, literally it has melted and there's at least 10 fuse terminals all melted into one. As soon as you hook up the battery, the blower motor kicks on and the taillights flash, smoke starts pouring the moment the key is turned, gonna rip the entire harness out but I just wanna see if it'll run enough to pull itself out of the yard. It's too wet and has been all summer to get my trailer and truck in there to winch it up

well, not going to happen with it wired up normally... I've never done it but there has got to be a way to disconnect the main power and run some auxiliary switches to power just the engine

Right.

Pretty sure if I'd go back to points, I'd just need a hot wire to a switch and then to the start and coil. Which is all the old model 60 John Deere has that is points

Cptn. and Coke going here.. friggin' filled the other half of the roll-off with assorted stuff from around here, I had no idea I had so much "garbage" around here...
