You have a stamp collection? That’s only if you were sick and knew you were terminal. Without any prior indication of the impending death, what you give away is not considered touchable by the estate.
If I give my sister my stamp collection and then get hit by a bus tomorrow, it is not part of the estate.

???I have a superstition about the whole will thing
My dad gave me his car several months before he passed, but we never transferred title. I did not count it as part of the estate, but as I understood the requirement, I paid inheritance tax on estimated value. That’s only if you were sick and knew you were terminal. Kinda...I have my grandfathers old collection in a cigar box and a bunch of first day issues and blocks I bought when I was a kid. The stuff I bought was like the ‘76 Olympic series and the Love stamps plus a few others from the mid 70s.You have a stamp collection?
70s likely worth more as a keepsake than monetary. You will get over that as you get closer to facing it yourself. It’s part of the cycle of life.I have a superstition about the whole will thing
Probably nothing terribly valuable, but who knows. maybe one day you can go through them with me and see what’s there.70s likely worth more as a keepsake than monetary. But never know what gramps tucked away...
My car is worth around $30-$35k to the right buyer. $25k and it would be gone like doughnut at a weight watchers meeting.@Ddaddy , to change the subject, If you wanted to sell your GTS today, what do you really think you can get for it? Thinking of a new project, [FOR SALE] - 1968 GTS 340 Dart Console 4 Speed Numbers matching And doing some numbers......
My father in law passed, a few years ago, and going thru his things, found several stashes of old coins. Worth several thousands of dollars.. Found what I think is the last stash last month, several old gold coins.Probably nothing terribly valuable, but who knows. maybe one day you can go through them with me and see what’s there.
My thinking as well. I know this has been beat to death, BUT seeing the car, How much has to be original to be considered a Numbers matching.....Original? Sheet metal wise...My car is worth around $30-$35k to the right buyer. $25k and it would be gone like doughnut at a weight watchers meeting.
I looked at the car you posted earlier today. For a 340 number matching car like that fully restored, top end is $40k...but it better be nearly perfect. If it were a real numbers matching 440 GTS, top end is $50-$60k...but again it has to be perfect.
I have seen a few 440 4 spd cars in really nice condition go for around $45k recently.
Just need to still have everything stamped with a matching number from the factory still in place. The rest of the sheet metal parts can all be replaced as long as they are done true to how the factory built it.My thinking as well. I know this has been beat to death, BUT seeing the car, How much has to be original to be considered a Numbers matching.....Original? Sheet metal wise...

My though is if the guys at Graveyard cars are getting away with pretty much doing a rebody completely with the exception of the inner roof structure and still being able to say it's a numbers matching cuda, then yeahMy thinking as well. that piece can be splicedProblem with this one, is the trunk lip is rotted away where the VIN is stamped. He has the piece, but not attached to the car any longer... Three places on a 68 A body, Right/ Trunk lip, upper Rad support, backwards from top, And Cowl? Then Vin plate on door support area. Sticker? Sorry, its on the Dash board...
I am sure that is a bogus ad.
