It is a FACTORY 383 4 speed 67, Convertible! The first year with a Big Block in a dart, Did not even call it a GTS yet, just a GT. O, and with AIR! All original, number all match.
Nice!! Good luck! Keep us posted!

Member is still considering it, I should have lied to him about how rare the car is, I hope he does not get it....
its better to be honest man. He may still back out of it at 20,000, not a lot of people have that laying around.

So painting is done on the ramp parts. Have to let it dry and fip them to see how much i missed. Probably a lot, have a truck on the hoist and parts hanging below. Big shadow.

Was out for brekkie, saw the local scrap guy. Asked about a 318.
Yup,2 runners. One’s in a 69 car, dunno what but for 100 they are yours. I said 200 or more depending what the car is...
Have to wait and see.

They were sold as GT Darts but the factory big block ones got front fender badges that said 383 GTS.

Despite some Dodge advertising with big, bold letters adding up "GT + 383 = New Dart GTS," Tony's car wears only GT badges, a fact confirmed by the paperwork of his car. In 1968, when A-body 383s saw a bump in power to 300 hp, the model officially became the GTS. Even though the car is often called a GTS today, these early production models--made available from March 1967--are technically just Dart GTs, but small "383 Four Barrel" call outs on the fenders allude to the thundering engine under the hood.

If you cross check over at the GTS registry, you will find that the GTS 383 fender badges were common on the ‘67 big block GT Dart. However, not all got them in the first part of the production run.
