A driveline shop can't do anything with that?

Nope....The front shaft has the bearing at the rear of it, then the rear yoke, to accept the rear shaft. They are made that way, no way to press it off..

4 months ago, I had another Ford like that, although that was an Exploder Sportrac... Cost them a Grand also...

Only ever had one Ford, bought a new Econoline 350 in 2004. It burned down to the ground on the way home from the dealership with 6 miles on it. The salesman told me bring it back. Told him to send a wrecker and they could have it back after the FD put it out. They put me in a second van reluctantly and that one needed a longblock @27k. The head honchos that came down from FoMoCo determined that it was a fuel line that didn't get snapped together properly. It went up quick.

This one. I worked at the Ford bodyshop. it sat there a while.

It was a crazy day
So did you roast Marshmellows or cook hot dogs while it burned.
Last new Ford I bought was a 98 f250.
Broke down three times in the first week. Terrible ride couldn't keep it in a lane over 60mph.
I do like the 01 I picked up cheap the other month though for an old truck it runs and drives nice.

No work tomorrow.
Monday is holiday. Im going to find a 318 if it kills me. Im getting tired of waiting for some guy to get off his ***. Maybe i will pull it out of my power wagon. This waiting patiently is getting old. As am i.

I liked my ‘96 F-150. Bought it new and ran it for 10 years before I sold it. Never had any real problems with it other than the radio going out after a year and it was replaced under warranty.

It was a 2WD with the 300 cid straight six and a 5 speed manual. The thing rode like a Cadillac. Standard cab with an 8’ bed.

That 300 was equivalent to the 225 in the fact that it just would not die. That in my opinion was the best Ford combo ever.

Lets see...a couple 318's a couple 360's hmmm...a couple 383's a 440 or 3....and yes 3-225's
