Back then, it was hard to get someone to pony up $9k for a mint black ‘69 GTX with a 440 4 spd. I wish we had never let that car go as cheap as we did ($7800). I also wish we had a few of the other ones back.

Bac k in 1970 I bought a 65 g to convertible. A/C car .with factory as they called it transistorised ignition. Played a grand for it.
My uncle called me a dumb kid for paying that much for a 5 year old car.

We only had 40mph gusts here, fairly normal for March. Still no rain to speak of this season. The frost we had all last week pretty much killed the new grass on the hills, brings fire season just that much earlier.
My twin brother was supposed to fly in today to visit but like a lot of folks his flight was canceled.
Kind of down about it I was looking forward to the v isit.

Have adult beverage ... Will Travel .. Truck is gassed up. Race track hardware on board, including foul weather gear. I saw some of the qualifying times from Thursday's activities. Pretty good for a blustery winter day. March Meet here we come. After last year's not going because of bad weather here and the text a buddy sent me from there "clear 75, WTH are you?". The day you didn't go is the day you shoulda went.

At least the cover on the ‘66 is staying put. I really don’t want to go out there again.
Good to hear the cover is staying put. We have 40-50 mph gusts here, but in the 40s.

Yeah, I’m glad it’s staying put too. Once I get the car weather tight in the Spring, no more cover.
It’s just that with the rear glass out and holes into the roof from the trim being off, I had to cover it for this Winter.

One with a fuse in it and one with no fuse it.
The fuse burns.
Why would people be advising to look for a short along the wire no fuse?

It helped, but I also already had an HD outdoor cover that I bought for the GTS that I could have used anyway. I bought it back when I had the other house and no garage. I just never used it since I decided to rent a storage garage for the few months I needed before I bought the new place.Aren't you glad I thru in a new cover?
