Agree. In fact its always that way, even when there are rules and regs....
That's a slippery slope and really no reason for it. When it goes there, then act.

When I started talking about the "banned here" subject, I was skirting the political angle for sure.Agree. In fact its always that way, even when there are rules and regs....

LOL The bulkhead connector seals, reverse light seals, new hardboard panel for behind the back seat, and uh oh yes, gaskets for the fake hood air intakes.Whatch ya gettn? Huh....Huh....
O Boring stuff!!!!LOL The bulkhead connector seals, reverse light seals, new hardboard panel for behind the back seat, and uh oh yes, gaskets for the fake hood air intakes.
Sure it can. Someone may easily respond that the reason the service member was killed was because of a needless war or some such stuff. Not a stretch at all. Also - what may not look like political to you, may to others, and that can make them think its ok to go a little further. Then when their post is deleted, they point to the original service member post and say "how come this is ok but mine is not?" --- Its a tough position for us...This doesn't make sense to me. Dead Service members are not in anyway politics.
Besides, prediciting that a conversation going one way or the other is like saying someone driving a Challenger is going to break the speed limit because it's a muscle car...

probably misquoted because of the size of the panel. Big, but it hardly weighs anything. Don't recall if I got that from DMT- mine shipped rolled up. They are very fair though and great service. I was missing a couple body gaskets to finish mine a couple years after buying the kit. Told James at Carlisle and the gaskets were in my mailbox a few days later.LOL The bulkhead connector seals, reverse light seals, new hardboard panel for behind the back seat, and uh oh yes, gaskets for the fake hood air intakes.
Nothing like the cheap shots people slip into posts all the time - and I'm not refering to this thread. I don't really care. If people want to reveal their feelings a bit about these things, so be it. Its a free country. I personally think its more useful to avoid such things - that stuff can get in the way - and isn't persuading anyone anyway. When I started talking about the "banned here" subject, I was skirting the political angle for sure.

Besides all that - why is it such a big deal to post it in the political forum?
Again - why not avoid the whole thing and if its political or near political, just post in the politics forum.
Well The political forum is full of some guys that are very different then I am in my opinion. I Cant go there to fight! And that is all there is it seems. And different opinions are needed! I just dont like having to put up a fight to have mine.Sure it can. Someone may easily respond that the reason the service member was killed was because of a needless war or some such stuff. I really enjoy this forum and this thread. PLEASE everyone, just calm down. I will really pissed if it gets messed up any further. But who cares what I think...As I said above, EVERYTHING on this forum can be related to politics if one tries hard enough. And as for the N&P forum... yeah, lots of hatred there.
I'm going to drop the subject here. Its your forum, your rules. But I have a feeling the certain sewer rat that started this will continue reporting posts just for fun now.
yep. You and I are two prime examples. We have two very different points of view, yet we conduct ourselves as friends and have healthy discussions. I don't think any less of you and I'd hope you feel the same.Well The political forum is full of some guys that are very different then I am in my opinion. I Cant go there to fight! I am calm. I'll respect the rules fully. I just want to understand clearly what the rules are so I don't offend them in the future. I don't feel that's a wrong question to ask.I really enjoy this forum and this thread. PLEASE everyone, just calm down. I will really pissed if it gets messed up any further. The predictive judgment by a moderator is what I'm questioning.Again - why not avoid the whole thing and if its political or near political, just post in the politics forum.

Because we can usually have a reasonable, intelligent conversation here. Same topic in a political forum will focus on the politics. Which I personally don't give a rat's a__ about.Again - why not avoid the whole thing and if its political or near political, just post in the politics forum.

perhaps, but we've never had a fight over any current event discussion in here EVER.Your looking for perfection and for absolutes. They don't exist in this kind of situation. Sometimes you can see the fight coming and break it up before it starts.
I just signed up for N&P for the second time to see if anything has changed. First time I was on for a few hours before I hit BS overload...
perhaps, but we've never had a fight over any current event discussion in here EVER.
I don't think I've seen anyone in this thread ask for that though? This all started because I stated that my guard unit and myself are waiting to hear if we'll be going to the border. I'm just not understanding how that is political? But it's neither here nor there I suppose, I just don't want to see this thread closed due to stupid, immature and revenge motivated actions. Which is why I ask for a clear line to avoid crossingWell, we can talk about the N&P forum if you like ------ but having another place for politics discussions isn't the answer.
I'm sure that is occassionally true. Its still a slippery slope when the rules are expanded ad hoc. That's not asking for perfection.Your looking for perfection and for absolutes. They don't exist in this kind of situation. Sometimes you can see the fight coming and break it up before it starts.
So just so im understanding, for this thread?and if I allow those discussions here, it will end up happening here too. We keep it contained in the politics forum for a reason.
Keep in mind. Most forums ban political discussions altogether.
