I thought heat builds horsepower!

No, heat is a by product of combustion and you're throwing away energy with heat....

If you could capture the energy of the heat before you throw it away out the tail pipe and cooling system, you could do more "work" with it... Otto cycle...

Or aim the tailpipe at an ugly girl and make her a hottie..

Done with neighbor's lawn....

I tested this time and it took 3 full tanks of gas to do her whole yard...
Been using the same riding mower for 20-some years. I have no idea how many gallons it takes to mow my yard. I just know I can't mow it twice without refilling. But I sometimes do it anyway and run out...

Otto-mobile? Heat expands the internal parts which seals better and produces more power.

I fill it when I start and go until it runs out, then refilled it.... The E3 spark plug seems to get better economy than the standard plugs...

You also gotta keep the air filter clean... Mine gets stuck with fuzzies and can make it stall.... So I blow them out when they get dirty to clean them up.... I've changed my air filter 3 times already this year... I have three filters that I rotate through...

Some of you may laugh at me, But I paid 10K for this JD in 1996. has 800 hrs on it now. still runs like a top, with regular maintenance. Has a plow blade with 2 stage hydraulics , if I need it..23HP liquid cooled , fuel injected, Hydro static drive.

I rotate mine too. It's round like a typical old car filter. The air comes through a neck and hits one side that gets dirty and I move it to a cleaner position a couple times a year.

The dandylion fuzzies were bad at the beginning of the season and plugged up a couple of filters...

Last year, my engine on my mower started surging real bad and loosing power.... I checked the air filter and it was very clogged and dirty... Put my spare new one on and it ran like a top...

I watch my air filters close now...

Don't usually see much of them, but someone must have cut a field of them - just the other day I was out nearby, saw a cluster of them as big as a basketball float by. :wtf:
