Stop in for a cup of coffee

Well the idea to use those digital gauges and rearrange them to fit in the A body dash bezel is a fail. All the secondary gauges will fit but there's not enough room for the tach and speedometer. Back to the drawing board and the original plan of a full custom built dash.
I like analog gauges better anyway. Easier to read at a glance.

What all indications are you considering?
See attached

Yeah. I'll probably stay digital.

You might want to rethink that. NASCAR tested and rejected digital dashboard gauges opting instead for digital display screens that show analog images. They determined that the strictly digital displays were too difficult to read quickly while racing and ended up distracting the drivers.

I dont care for the digital gauges.
Nothing but a mess of wires.
As much as i do with electrical,i want my stuff to be as simple as possible.
Hoping my dash isnt too fubar.
Guess i should be looking at it soon.

Years ago. However, have you seen the current Nascar Cup cars? All of them are running digital dashes now

Digital analog display.
Gotcha. I can always change them out later. At least that was my desire to get them to fit in the a body dash without mods. I got these free so the risk in trying in slim and knowing me, I will change my mind before the car is done

By the time the car is done, you will have another decade or two of new technology to consider anyway...:poke:

Probably.

On a serious note though, be looking for some big progress this fall. I have all the replacement body panels in hand now, finally so I'm hoping to have it in full primer and ready for paint by end of the year. Though I'm not gonna Rush anything. Then the last major part of the puzzle I plan to buy in the spring, the transmission.

So early morning question. You all mentioned pouring Coke into the bores on this stuck 440. How long does that need to sit to work? I'm assuming at least 24 hours

Morning motor geeks....
I kicked my own *** yesterday with all I did. Slept great though, but woke up tired.
I think I'll give myself the day off.
