I see so may meesed up adds on there but half the time they have no idea what they are selling. Might have to put that one on a watch list. Or better yet make a thread on a super deal!

I didn't know they allowed real meat in convenience stores.
Ya, our Quick Star/Quick Trip stores are based out of Wisconsin. They have good prepackaged meats. Not bad quality and reasonably priced. I'm not a fan of their pizza but they have some great Wisconsin beer cheese soup that you can buy in big bags to take home. Their bread is the freshest in town.

I better get on there and offer twice what they are asking before everyone else sees it!

Wisconsin cheese is awesome also....

You're a god! Not THE God.. but a god...

Looks pretty good for a little bit of this desert rat's upbringing  One of the few landmarks we had  I spose The Harvey House is a landmark, if you like train stations built in the late 1800s. Calico Ghost town doesn't really count, it's in Yermo and off old Route 91 I think or 58, the old road to Vegas, whichever. I was little when they put I15 through to Vegas. I do remember having to take 66 to Victorville to pick up I15 into the LA Basin/Inland Empire.

Well, I have avoided it all weekend...but couldn’t any longer.

I checked my work email to see how bad the mess was that I was going back to.

Whew! Nothing crazy...and what is there, I can dispose of in my first day back.

Thank God for that! I can at least get a decent nights sleep now without worrying about an overload on my first day back.

Still at my Mom's, Uncle treated us all at our favorite oyster bar...I got a dozen raw and a platter of fried, and extra hushpuppies, and beer. 2 uncles 2 aunts and my Mom...we need to get together more.

Ah man! I missed Sunday Night Kneelball. :BangHead: I could be on to something here . NKL. National Kneelball League. Think of the licensing deals. Never mind, the NFL probly copyrighted it already.

Damn, I miss the days of eating oysters before my shellfish allergy developed. I used to love all of the varieties of clams, crabs, lobster and even squid and octopus.

I’m sad that I can’t enjoy them anymore...but glad that I once did, in all their varieties.

Sounds good. I like some oysters but they have to be steamed, well at least a little bit.

Oh boy, an unexpected way to start the work week. My daughter had a melt down about going into 8th grade in a week.

I sat her down and had a long and totally honest talk about what she is feeling while punctuating it with my own stories of what it was like to be a teenage boy in 8th grade. I also gently led her past the 8th grade into the future where thing will be quite different.

She was crying a bit, but listening intently. After we were done she hugged me harder than I ever remember and thanked me for being so open and honest. The smile on her face as she went to bed told me all I needed to know...I got through.

Good luck to her and you!
