Stop in for a cup of coffee

Morning all....
After 48 hours almost adjusted to the sounds of a 2 year old in the house.
I don't mind, just forgotten how hard they go all day.

Good morning Z man, yep, I hear yea, had a young 9 year old (my granddaughter) for two days a couple weeks ago, they sure do make my little home feel littler  But I love it..

Yeah. We took my 4 and 2 year olds kayaking down a river yesterday, well it's called a river but it's more of a creek/spring with very little current and maybe 2-3 feet deep average with some spots deeper, it wore me out. But them too we're running full throttle all evening long. I wish I had their energy level

Nope especially after a deployment after 20 others in a tent doing two shifts! It is also hard to get to sleep without all the snoring and farting all night!

Hey. Question, does the 0430 early wake up stuff ever grow out of our systems?!? I cannot sleep in EVER. Even on vacation. It's like 430 hits, my brain kicks me out of sleep
Ahhh no. I've been retired 11 years in December and still wake up 4:30-5:15 every morning. Usually if I roll back over if I wake up early I will wake up each and every time at 5:08. I'm not sure why, hit that time once everyday for two weeks....weird.
No the internal clock for us doesn't seem to readjust.

I always had problems falling asleep when I was home without all the noise. Rescue was usually right on the flightline for a quick response time and you had jets taking off all night/day. Earplugs were a good thing. Wonder why I have hearing loss. The wors were when we were on a large base and had the B1B's. They were freaking loud!

Got a call yesterday from the MOPAR Collectors Guide photographer.
He did a photo shoot with our car at MOPARS in the Park.
He'd submitted pics he took of our car for the 2019 Chrysler MOPAR calendar and it was selected.
Still waiting to hear when we appear in the magazine.
No big fuss here, we just smile and enjoy the moment.

Yes they were, could still hear them five minutes after take off.
I stood on the runway once, with permission, for a B1B take off. Holly crap!!

Later folks, coffee shop then off to swap a rack on a fn hyundai.
Was looking at a heater core swap in a Heep.looks like 10 hours.sucks. But the money is good.

Yup...Probably have to pull the dash out.....

Good morning, looks like everyone but Chris and me has work to do today. Mom says she feels like she is on vacation, she is adjusting to my step dad not being here.

Today we are going to drop by "the boat shop." My Dad's best friend has been designing and building wooden boats since before I was born. It speaks well of my Dad that he was accepted right away when he moved to town, because he was a yankee, though he never displayed the stereotypical attitudes that Florida Crackers dislike.

My Mom hasnt seen him for years but she knew him well too while my Dad and her were married. Most of the boat shop inner circle acquired nicknames, and my Dad was Captain Pea Turk. They never called him by his given name. I never heard how he got that name or what it means so I am hoping to find out while I can.

Piece of advice, take a recorder along, if they're ok with it, record any stories about him you can.

Fought that new fuel tank, on the 70 Duster, yesterday for several hours. They make the new tube sealing rings to tight, even lubed up with Vaseline, it still a Biotch... Finally got it in without pulling the trunk tube... Now on to transmission/ shifting issues......

Better get that shoulder tuned up. You plan to paint the whole car, right? Blocking is quite a workout on the shoulders.

Still on that thing? Starting to look like a career move..

Back from coffee.
My buddy changed his mind.
He was buying a 70 Duster 340 bench seat white/brown auto on the column.
We convinced him to spend an extra 6K, and buy from the same seller, a very nice all original 70 Dodge Dart Swinger 340 4 speed.
He agreed he would of probably had buyers remorse in a couple months. As he said, probably his last old car, so what the hell.
They took off this morning for the 250 mile drive to pick it up.
