Stop in for a cup of coffee

Got a bunch of us that drink here on FABO but no drunks that I know of. We all have our Likes and dislikes and we get along just fine.
well.. online around drunks is different :) i don't like being around people much at all in real life though... soo....

Still challenging as I understand. Water systems, roads and housing. Imagine it's off of any news cycle I imagine.
I loved that area when I was down there a year or so ago. Ashville to Charolette.

Bunch of great guys I met here on FABO and hopping to meet the rest of you.
Nothing better than a face-to-face conversation and grilling food and just enjoying good friends.

Well.. unless some of you are 25 year old redheads with daddy issues and really bad decision making skills... i prolly won't be meeting anyone :)

Well I’ll have a new Cummins engine Thursday, now to remember how to swap these heavy bastards. You all think a hemi is an elephant, a Cummins is a damn dinosaur

gonna keep the old one and change headgasket/figure out what happened? might be a cheap spare...

We all have our problems and being a red head is my family trait, and I see no problem there.
As far as making bad decisions join the crowd.

Ferd called it The Caliope. 3 valve Hemi heads on the FE block.

And that's just a B. Nothing like a 60 series Detroit or a big Cat.

Absolutely! So I’ve hatched a very diabolical plan here.

One: buying this engine saves me well over 80k vs buying a new truck. once running again, I’ll have the truck I need to haul home a new project or two.

But while I’m saving for that, the original Cummins is going down to bare block, gonna send everything in to the local machine shop I trust, have it all magnaflux and sonic checked, decked etc. I’m gonna have it fire-ringed and upgrade the injectors , bigger turbo, (all of which I still have laying around so no new expense) nothing crazy, boost the horsepower to around 400–450 rear wheel while maintaining perfect tow capability like I did with my old black Cummins. That’ll go back in, replacement engine out

Then I’m buying that ramcharger I want so bad from the junkyard, stuffing the now pulled replacement engine into it.

Hehe

k.... got a real pattern now.. found all kindsa bad **** in the old ring/carrier setup that is WTF.... need to adjust it so it's perfect tomorrow then get it all locked down and ready to install.. too high on the crown.. got hungry and lazy.. my day is done :)

The local Wine and Spirits store had a Easter egg hunt. 50+ bottles of allocated spirits were hidden throughout the store. I found a couple fun ones. I have tasted them and no regrets here. The EC Toasted I have been looking for for a while.

Evening all, back on the boat a day early and finally at sea again after way too many months in the shipyard. Hope everyone is doing good. If anyone in the group is the Indy, Louisville, Nashville area for December let me know as we are running up to Louisville with a trailer from Louisiana to grab a car and will be trying to stop in at PRI in Indy on the 13th of December.

We were talking about going to PRI but I don't think it's going to happen. I will reach out if we do

got to it before me.
Barb and I took the "marriage compatibility test" our church offered us. The counselor was so confused with our results. 75% of the people scored at one end of the spectrum. He said we were so far the other way...we were meant for each other. 28 years still going and being laughed at/with almost every day. Unless we're on vacation.

Well..i have never had a drink in my life and hate being around drunks... sooo... people find that weird
I was falling into a rut many years ago,2 dui’s and decided that wasnt a good path for me. Still had a few drinks every week. Now, 30 plus years later i go a month without an alcoholic beverage. And if i do, 1 or two. And no driving.
I can respect someones personal choices, unless they dont drink coffee, then i question their mental health…
