Looks like I have to go with a striagfht through muffler, basicly a glasspack.

Which one would be the queitest, especially inside the car. I had flowmasters prior to thsi and they were loud inside.

Looking at XR-1's but open to ALL info! First hand exerience very welcome

magnaflow with an 18" body.or dynomax ultraflow ss (not the welded) with an 18" body.jones/full boar make a magnaflow copy for about half the price.thay are well made and also come in an 18" body.

I have to mock it up to see what I get away with length wise. The TTI was designed with a 19" muffler.

How about the flowmaster pro series? They're pricey but the clips I've heard they sound pretty good. May use them myself when I get there.

You can get a round body turbo type muffler. Several companies make them. The glass packs are FAR from all that's available in a round body. Also remember that the round mufflers are a little different. The longer the muffler body length is directly linked to the noise level. The longer the body, the less noise.

This...

I used to work at an Exhaust Pros shop. My boss was great at custom bending dual exhaust systems. We sold a lot of Walker brand "Tuff Turbo" mufflers. They look just like a glass pack from the outside. They are baffled on the inside.

Dynoflow makes a great straight through design. Super quiet when cruising but opens up nicely when you step on the gas. Best of both worlds. Quiet when you want to be quiet louder when you are feeling like being louder.

Pypes race pro/ Jones max flow seem like good choices to me. I have the Jones mufflers and like them. Not to loud and sound tuff when you hit the gas!

FYI - the Dynomax Thrush glass packs do NOT have the raised internal fins/louvers (I think Cherry Bomb has this feature).
The Thrush are just a straight, flat wall design.

Are you guys talking about a round type of muffler? Like a cherry bomb or something of the sort?

I'm looking to replace what you see in the picture. They don't make this muffler anymore. Dynomax 17232 ultra flow. So that leaves me with a round muffler or a flowmaster 40 series which I don't want.

The hushpower is anb option. I wonder how it flows? with those cones in there. That muffler was made for diesel but is avaiable for other applications.

too short, but would have been an option.
