Maybe he wanted something that wouldn't get stolen. Or, maybe he didn't drive it much because he was afraid it would get stolen!
Is it a late 70's Firebird with a later Camaro front? (No hatchback.)
Does that say "FORD" on the trunk lid?

Overall, a nice bunch of pics, I always enjoy your work. I can't imagine where you find them all.
