Street Freaks, Customs, Rods, Street Machines...60's 70's 80's

That paint really takes you back. Some nice work.
Where do you find these photos Keith?
I'm betting that guy still has a barracuda or two.

Where all my madness first began. That's my first car back in the mid-70's right after I had the flames shot. Complete with an air grabber hood, roll bar, and fluorescent orange fake fur on the package shelf. LOL.

It was just a 383 car but I installed a modified 6-pack torqueflite, an Offenhauser intake, 750 Holley, Crower cam, and Appliance headers. The air grabber hood came off of a GTX and the 4.10 Dana came from a Superbird. Quickest I ran was a low 13 up at Marion, South Dakota.

'Back in the day' I rarely took pictures of the cars I had. My folks had some pictures of the Roadrunner but they've gotten lost over all these years. I'd remembered that the custom painter who'd shot the flames had always taken pictures of work he'd done and I was able to get the few photos I now have from his archives. A buddy of mine had videos of me running it at Thunder Valley but we've been unable to find them so far.

Love that car,John...

Thanks bomber. I definitely regret letting that one go. There are sure a lot of memories associated with it. Because it was my first car I didn't hesitate to take parts from my '69 Six pack Superbee or my Hemi Superbird for it. Ironically, the flame paint job was damaged years later by an under the hood fire. :banghead:
