Strut rod washers.... correct way to use.

My 70 Duster with 340 K Frame didn’t have an inner sleeve when disassembled.using PST kit and I don’t recall a sleeve being in the bushing when I installed it..Should there be one?

It depends on the manufacturer and design of the bushing... Some use them, some don't...

Thanks for the reply. I located the bushings which I removed and they are two pieces on each strut and they do have the metal embedded in the bushing. The new bushings are stock style tapered cone that push in.

I read someplace that the concave washers are also used on other Hi Volume sale part numbers, that are more important than our Mopars, for those the cup goes away from the bushing. The correct way is for the washer to cup the bushing. The service and parts manuals both show the washers cupping the bushings. Thats ok, I've done it wrong all of these years too.
