How many gears?

whatever I can find that I can make fit, and seems to have decent ratios LOL. There was a Spicer 5 speed on CL, but the ratios weren't very useful. Essentially I'd have a 4 speed with a VERY low granny for the "5th"

Maybe, but does not seem to be an OD

Eaton Fuller RT 610 transmission

The ratios on this Spicer are "not" what I want

5 sp spicer Transmision bell clutch n flywheel Big truck GM

And like "a few" of my projects might never happen LOL

I just bought an International S2300 with 10L Cummins and 9 speed Road Ranger. It was sitting in barn and hi-lo was stuck so he put a new selector valve on it. I drove it down road a couple miles and ran good but had no spring on throttle. In low range it would buck like a shetland pony when shifting but ok in high side. I paid him and got title and didn't make it a 1/4 mile and sucker bogged down and only idle so I limped it back to his drive where it died. He had to drag me up hill with backhoe. Put new fuel filters on it ran great for maybe 5 miles and died again drained filter and made it another mile which got it across hwy82 4 lane. That time I hook my service truck and pulled it home about 7 miles. I drained ab out 85 gallons of fuel out and pulled tank off drivers side and steam cleaned it out, took water separator apart which didn't appear to have ever been cleaned and that was the problem. I replaced fuel lines and added filter with drain and triple strained fuel. It runs like it supposed to now and after replacing spring on throttle that 9 speed shifts like it should too. It is single axle dump with American dump bed that has hardly been used.

Was driving back to Knoxville from Chicago yesterday and the miles you accumulated on your truck came to mind. To put this in perspective its 3.22 round trips to the moon. You deserve to be tired.

its not fub.Its a crummy job.Now my wife is having teeth problems so I'll never get home

hey that is a good idea. I am working on getting that 48' flatbed ready for a bridge so I can cross creek on some of my property. I need to cross with dozier and trackhoe so I don't think school bus would do that. I will keep it in mind if just need to cross with Ranger because old school buses are plentiful around here. Keeping on truckin, Joe
