Keep us posted. I hope you understand our asking about the ground between the ACTUAL sender ground and the body. A poor ground there would cause high resistance from the sender to ground. If you have not, you can even make a temp ground by wrapping stripped wire around the fuel outlet, clamp on with a small fuel line clamp, and hook the pigtail to a good body ground, but maybe you've don that.

Yes , I understand . That was one of the first things I did. I even ran a long piece of wire from neg side of battery to sender.
