I have a 68 Barracuda 318ci. It started cutting out going down the road after about 5 miles. It seems like a fuel problem, not a miss. It only has 600 mi since complete rebuild. Edelbrock thunder series 1805 & Edelbrok fuel pump. Any ideas?????????????

Clogged fuel filter or any one of a million simple things...

Last year mine was was cutting out it turned out to be the rubber hose from the steel fuel line on the frame to the fuel pump was collapsing and restricting the gas flow. The rubber line was soft replaced with fuel injection rubber line works well now

I checked fuel line from tank to mechanical fuel pump. No leaks, looks fine.

Define cut out. Does it up and die or sputter sputter sputter die? Engine warm? Engine cold?

Flux capacitor .....

Double check electrical connections and grounds.

Coil ? run it after dark and when it acts up get out and watch the coil for sparks going to ground somewhere.

Get out and puul the gas cap as soon as it stops. Could be the vent tube from the fill neck kinked or plugged up

Check the sock in the tank it may not be letting enough fuel through.

The Brown Duster I am working on. The new fuel pump would not pump fuel at all. It was the arm on the pump was incorrect. Not getting enough travel from the eccentric.

Everything mentioned above also. You need to determine if it is spark or fuel

It cuts out comes back, cuts out comes back, and on, and on. Seems ok until warms up. Open gas cap did not help.

Correct, you're going to have to troubleshoot it on the side of the road unless you can replicate the issue in your driveway. When it stalls what is not working... spark, gas, engine temp?

It sounds like a fuel problem. If it was electrical it would be back firing like when you do a Key job. The new fuel with ethanol boils real fast. Your floats could be set low. The float does not function properly with boiling fuel. I have seen cars flood when restarting hot. Try pulling the sock off of the tube on the sender in the tank . Also do a vacuum test on the pump inlet while cranking it see if it is working properly If you still have this issue . I have another thing you can try
