HNY everyone,

Is it possible to fit B-Body front suspension parts onto a Duster?

As in upper control arms and lower control arms.

I got a pile of 60's b-body parts and want to fit disc brakes to my Duster.

Not for street use, just track days.

Cutting welding not an issue lol.

John

Depending on the years of the parts, the B body spindles and therefore disc brakes may fit; the rest of the parts, no. Use of the B body spindles would require a large ball joint upper control arm (or use of an adapter sleeve on small ball joints), which you may or may not already have depending on the year of your Duster.

You have the ability to cut and weld and you are asking a question like this?

Using B body upper and lower control arms would cause a bunch of alignment problems to overcome. You'd have to weld new brackets to the frame rails to start with as the spacing is completely different. Figuring out where they should be welded and what effect it going to have on the tracking, fender clearance, and alignment specs are anybody's guess.

Cool answers indeed!

Guess that's a NO then!

The front suspension was removed form the Duster for some aftermarket set-up.
Then the Guy lost interest and sold the car without any parts.

I was very interested in the Rear spring debate and Instant centres etc.
So was gonna box the rear chassis rails and fit B-Bod springs.

Why stop there and fit B-bod front suspension too lol...

HNY to all how took the time to read and answer a STUPID question!

Looking for 73 up UCA's and LCA's now...

You could probably sell some of your body parts to offset the cost of the a body parts you need. Or trade them.
