Sun Visor Installation

I bought the replacement sun visors from classic industries, but need to reuse my mounting hardware. I purchased one of these:
1968 Dodge Dart Parts | Sun Visor | Classic Industries
It's just the upholstery. Am I supposed to take these new visors apart to install the original mounting hardware?

Remove rubber tip.

Rotate rod in old unit while pulling rod out.

Reinsert rod in new one.

Replace rubber tip.

Install 3 screws to replace assembled unit in car.

Repeat for other side.

Thanks a bunch man. I wasn't sure if the support inside the visor was supposed to be transferred over in addition to the rod.

I'm going through a similar issue, it seems the rod on the passenger side is @ 1/4" short to reach the rear view mirror. Any suggestions?

Alan, That seemed to do the trick. I did not know that the rods were adjustable,Thanks again.

The key is that the rod is two pieces, this is a 69 C-Body but the same idea.
