I needed a set of 3/8 drive, "swivel sockets" for my "box at the house." (I have a set of snap-on at the shop) and I wasn't about to buy anymore for a snap-on price. Harbor Freight showed that they don't carry them and I was about to order some from Craftsman, (expensive also) when I came across these on E-Bay. $15.00 and free shipping. I figured, "what the hell," guessing about the quality. They came from a surplus company. They are NOS. They appear to be never of used, they were made in Japan and heavily constructed. I was really surprised at quality they show. I can remember when Japanese stuff was "crap" then the Taiwanese stuff hit the market as crap. Now it's the Chinese and Vietnam stuff. Over time the Japanese stuff became high quality and priced so. These sockets must of been bought as a "lot sale" by this out fit I got them from. If you need some, I'd snatch them up before they are all gone or the price goes up. Payless Components Factory Surplus on E-Bay.
