Tailpipe opinion

Nova-ish but I like it

Went out in the garage to figure out how to mount the tips. Came up with a quick idea with what I had. Just a piece of angle iron bolted to where the rear leaf spring hanger would go. They will be all cleaned up once they’re finialize. Going Tuesday to have the tailpipes bent up.

Prolly wont fit thinking about it

Going to new tailpipes soon. Currently my temporary pipes exit on an angle behind the rear tire. Should I have them exit like they are now or go out the rear like the factory did?

Two reasons why I like the way the factory did it.
#1: keeps the road grim off the tail pipes.
#2: The tail pipes are higher up from the road, away from puddles better.
My van I installed the end pipes coming out in front of the rear tires (2.5") I did not want to reduce the size going over the axle, but doing that you need to make sure the ends are beyond the body, to reduce fumes, it's the law.

So unfortunately, I brought the car up there just wanting to do the rear tailpipes for now. The shop found some stuff that needed to be addressed with the front section and wanted to build a whole new system They would need the car for 2 days. Since I was an hour away from home with no ride back I decide to drive home and address this another day. Thanks for all the feedback.
