What route did you decide on? Im in the Bay Area if you have any trouble.
Still planning on going the 99 as much as I can. I went on the 101 last trip, this time the 99, next trip will be the 395. I'm just touching bases in all the parts of California that I can before I leave. I've lived in California all but three years of my life and I am trying to drink it all in. We used to go up the 99 to Lake Shasta when I was very little, well before the 5 was built. Just revisiting. What route did you decide on? Im in the Bay Area if you have any trouble.

That looks fantastic, I've never driven 49. I've done 70 along the Feather River and 89 from South Lake Tahoe to Lassen. I'll see if I can fit a trip up 49 someday. Thanks!!Another one to take on a site seeing run is 49 through Gold Country . Kinda like PCH with the Sierra Nevada instead of the Pacific at your side.
Thanks for the offer! What route did you decide on? Im in the Bay Area if you have any trouble.
Heading out this morning. First stop is Turner's Auto Wrecking in Fresno. I have some side glass for a 1970 Mustang to give them.
Ridge Route highway near Gorman. The Ridge Route was the precursor to US-99 and was built in 1914.
