Summit has a limited selection of colors, I saw a dodge ram truck painted with it and the owner/painter was very happy with how easy it was to apply. Don't know how it will hold up.

If in fact it's the same stuff solid or dark colors may be ok. I shot the bright aqua pearl or whatever they call it. I tried seven ways from Sunday to make it work. Different reductions, application etc. Not a whole lot of coverage per coat and the metallic control was awful. I shot part with base converter/clear and part as single stage with clear over it(the cab). It fought me the whole way...Have tried a couple different clears also. They died back and shrunk. I know what to expect from Nason.

Buffed, but at one point was ready to scuff it down and re-clear. Was the wife and I's gift to my father in law who's been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. He wanted his vette purple and got it..

Love the black base,candy toners on top.....The black just makes a,high pearl content in the candy toner, JUST POP....
Cool thing you did,for family.

It has a little flop from blue to purple, but that clear, never again.

I used their Basecoat Clearcoat Urethane. I'll try to post a link, but follow these instructions. Go to www.tcpglobal.com. Then click on Automotive Paint, then select Auto Color Library. Under Classic (1950-1977) select 1969, then select Plymouth or Dodge. You need to fill in the cells labeled Chip Formula, Manufacturer Paint Code and Exact Color Name. Get this data by scrolling down to the paint chip chart at the bottom of the page.

Plymouth: Chip Formula # =43786, Manufacturer Paint Code = F8, Exact Color Name = Ivy Green Poly

Dodge: Chip Formula # =43786, Manufacturer Paint Code = F8, Exact Color Name = Dark Green Poly

Then Select Urethane Basecoat and click on Update information. The paint is $270 per gallon. This is WAY cheaper than name brand paint. The paint is mixed at 2:1 (2 parts paint to one part reducer), so you get 1.5 gallons to spray per gallon of paint. Their reducer is pretty cheap, so get plenty. If you run out, they recommend only using PPG reducer which costs twice as much as theirs. Please note that I used their KC2020 clear. I mixed it according to their directions and then 10% reducer. The paint and clear both sprayed VERY nicely. I also bought a gallon and a quart of their Epoxy Primer. One gallon for coating the bare metal after stripping, and the quart to use as a sealer just before spraying color. When their epoxy primer is mixed according to instructions with a little reducer added, it is a sealer (this is right in the tech sheet for the primer) It worked well for me. I also bought a quart of their KW901 Wax and grease remover.

I have used their epoxy primers, sanding primers, acrylic urethane topcoats, fir several (4-5 cars). It has served me well. I paint for myself, I am NO pro. I have never used their BC/C...
