tech help needed

I am removing my window crank on a 73 swinger,i removed the center allen bolt and the crank will not come off,is there a special tool i need to remove? can anyone help?

that should be all that holds it on.

yup just make sure ur pulling straight off and there should be no problem

just attempted to take off again,that thing is really on there,why does it seem that my dart doesnt like to be taken apart?!will try again at lunch...

wiggle it while pulling. it should come off.

The handle might be stuck on the splines. I have had to take a small block of wood and place it against the door panel opposite of the handle and by using the handle and a long screw driver, gently rocking the handle back and forth to release it's grip on the splines.

As we used to say at the C/P dealership back in the day..........

If at 1st you don't succeed, get a bigger hammer.

If all else fails, use a heat wrench.

x2 but a plastic or rubber hammer.

That takes all the adventure out of it!!

And window cranks are cheap.

Getting it off is easy.....

getting it off and being able to reuse it is another story.

had to take door skin off to hook up remote mirror hold back clip and bolt in top trim piece,put window crank back on with no problems,so far,so good,thanks again guys!

You might consider putting some oil or anti-seize compound on it at reassembly.
