that looks like a BeCool...and that would piss me the hell off...pay close to 800 bucks for one of those and it done fit....I've been looking at those for a while....

Be Cool! Had it in a Demon and thought it was suppose to fit the early A's too, but it looks like it's going to be a little work to make it fit. I'm going to notch the frame a 1/2" on each side and cut down the tabs about the same on each side that should take care of it.

I've got a BE COOL in mine. I made a bracket before I found there was a bracket for it. I bought the bracket from be cool and it looks like a direct fit, but I haven't put it on yet. I don't think this picture shows it very well. MOE

Yeah the early A's are a bit narrower than the late. You found out the hard way.

;)

Lots of stuff is harder to make work in the Early-A cars,
exhaust, cooling, wipers, wheels, many things. :(

Besides the Early-A car being smaller;
The radiator opening is extra small in the pre '65 cars.

Looks like fresh paint too! Be sure to take your time!

How about notching the Radiator instead? You could find someone to weld it back up for Probably $40.00.

Cut the pieces for the patch's and bring them to a shop that can weld aluminum.

I don't think I would notch the frame. I would rather modify radiator or suck it up buy another one and re-sell old one. Just my thoughts. Specially depending on which crate motor that is you have.

I will not really be notching the frame. There is a 1/2" lip that extends off the top of the each frame rail to the inside. I will just be trimming that lip off then shave a little off the lower radiator brackets and it should fit like a glove. I hope! lol...

Had to do the samething on a 66 I had.. I even took a about 1" off one side on the front of the radiator support for more air flow. Let us know how you make out. I may put one in my 65 Dart. Have the same radiator in my Scamp, but did not have to do any cutting for it to fit.

Looks like the bolt hole will need moved as well. Why not just cut the old tabs of build some that fit the rails and weld new ones back on. I would hate to cut on new paint.

Did a little die grinding surgery today. Had to notch the lip on both frame wells then cut out some of the core supports. Seems the original radiator mount on the drivers side was sticking out farther than the other. Think that is the way it was factory or the core support was tweaked.

BeCool radiator is sitting in pretty nice now just need to mount a trans cooler and I can bolt this radiator in.

Your brackets on the radiator are different than mine. But in your picture I can see that your original radiator bracket was like mine with the driver side sticking out farther than the passenger side. I went ahead and cut off that driver side original mount on the core support it was actually pretty easy and allowed me to move the radiator about 3/4" closer to the core support. Allowing more room for a fan.

WOW that is a snug fit! Glad you got it to work, and saved some Money. :)

Here is my solution:
