Thank You Canada for fire help

Why is it that people can do what governments can't? You cant pick your neighbors but you can pick your friends. Its great when you have both.

I work for the company that powers the Bombardier CL415 Waterbomber, Pratt and Whitney Canada.

I’m very proud to have worked on the PW123 program which is providing the reliable power for the much needed help to our awesome friends to the south.

2380 horsepower on each side I might add…

I don't know why we don't build more water bombers , i guess it would make sense . We should have a big fleet of them . maybe i'm wrong but i think we have maybe a half dozen .

The West Coast will definitely have to change something.
Another issue in Ca. is Home owner insurance. Just the other week, the talking heads were discussing and cussing the Ca. Insurance Co's. that were stopping coverage in Ca.

Sad when insurance companies are all too quick to cancel coverage when it looks like they might face a barrage of expensive claims.

All governments think about are the politics of their actions, and how much money it will cost, people think about action and getting things done when help is needed.

One of your planes struck an illegal Drone and suffered damage. The hope is to have it back Monday.

I had read on the Faceboog that Cal-Fire’ss budget had been cut, but apparently that was somehow mis-quoted.
For 2023-2024 & 2024-2025 CAL FIRE's budget is approximately $4 billion, supporting around 12,000 positions. This budget has doubled over the past decade and went from $2.8B to $3.7B in last 2 years.
The article I was reading indicated the latest C-130 to join their fleet was August 29.
