So I got one of these slant 6 lifting brackets from Mat @Badvert65. I needed something that would lift the engine straight up like it sits in the car, in order to put it on the engine dolly I made. The chain just wasn't makin it. This thing is really nice, bolts right on and just lifts the engine perfectly. I was able to set it right down inside the dolly. Thanks Matt! You did a nice job on this.

Agreed! I got one of these a while ago and it works as advertised. Well worth the money and as RRR said, it beats hell out of using a chunk of chain.

High praise indeed, thank you guys. Just trying to do my part to improve the slant six experience.
Nice looking engine there RRR, I think I may also copy your dolly idea for a few spare engines I have lyin' about.

Feel free. I actually need to go back and mod it a little. I left very little room around the back for the oil pan drain plug, so I need to rectify that. But now I can easily, since I have a way to lift the engine correctly.

If you ever decide to produce a few of those...

Just saying

Id be looking for the sale thread

If you can drop the link or ping me when you're in stock again that would be great.

@RustyRatRod ... Do you have the plans for your cradle? I have the my 225 just sitting on a heavy furniture dolley
I don't. When I build something, I just do it. I can make you some up. If you're not in a huge hurry, I really need to make a change or two to it and then I can give you the measurements.

I just made a wooden frame to keep it upright. Used tow strap to sling it with the shop crane. Be nice to have something more sold

Cool looking bracket. I sure would have used one if they had been available back in 90-91 when I dropped my Valiant's motor in. I was able to make a chain work, though, by running the chain sort of diagonally across the motor instead of using the two mounting points on the driver's side of the head.
