The 340 is the biggest POS V8 Chrysler ever made.

Current hp factor for a stock 340 is 310 hp . That is 71 340. with TQ....314 hp with replacement heads that are legal..68-70 AVS are less HP...nhra has about 5 different hp factors....GT class...replacement head....manual/auto trans...dam...then there is the politics of engine factoring.

Those engines are junk anyway

“Yikes” at the complete lack of emotional control which you continue to demonstrate.

Like with most “Internet forum tough guys” you’re vastly overestimating your Internet Muscles. Nobody is impressed nor intimidated by what you sling while hiding behind your keyboard.

Seriously. Take it easy. Name calling says way more about you than whoever you’re trying to intimidate.

Dude, you seriously think I am trying to be that? I am totally jokin around. Go grab some midol and chill out.

Ok, @RustyRatRod. So you're just joking around. Glad to hear that. I blocked @yellow rose a week or so back so if you guys are being hilarious together, I missed that context.

...We don't need to call the wambulance, do we? You need some maxi pads? Night out with the girls watchin Steel Magnolias?
...

... It's the pussification of FABO.

... Go grab some midol and chill out.

Just out of curiosity, what's your problem with women and why are you involving us?
It's jarring because your on-topic posts in this thread have been really informative and sharp. Those quoted above; not so much.

You are correct sir! I actualy trew a 340 block into the metal recycling box at the recycling station a couple years ago damn POS had two cracked bores and cracks in one mainbering area in the block, never mind all the marks from the maincaps dancing Hulahula in the block for years.

Yeah i got another block now for a new build but if anyone has a 340block or complete engine over that they realy dont want they can pay shipping and send it to me and i will take proper care of it for free!

I have a 340 laying around in pieces, maybe I should do something with it, it needs everything machine wise, needs crank journal turned, go .030 over, put 2.02's in the J heads etc... anyone know a good machine shop in Pa? I'm close to Barton, does he do small blocks?

Ohhhh. You blocked me. I'm all hurt.

Doesn't need to make sense to you. Shouldn't you be working your hone to get rings to seal?

I doubt I possess the cleverness you clearly do in your wit. Ive already ripped the gapless ring section out of my Total seal catalog and now my cylinders seal just fine. Didn't even have to touch my Sunnen CK-10. I still can't figure out the correlation. Can you? J.Rob

Yup. You are doing something wrong. If an amature like me can make them seal, why can't a pro like you?

Amateur!? You have rubbed elbows with the like of Smoky Yunick! You have run your own machine shop (probably into the ground) and have been there and done everything in this trade. I would say you are a Pro considering you get paid or did get paid to do this stuff. I'm merely an apprentice compared to the likes of you. I can't figure out why I can't seem to remember you winning the EMC. I've been there 7 times and spoken with all of the winners (SAM, Kaase, Bischoff etc) many times. I don't seem to remember you. Weird. J.Rob

Like I said, get back to me when you can hone a cylinder. Piss poor **** if you can't. BTW I'm retired *****. What I do now I do for fun. If you talk real nice, and cut me a fat stack of cash, I'll fly up there and teach you how to do it. But it will cost you. I don't like training slow learners.

EDIT: we turned down engine masters three times. We didn't have time for that phony ****. I have no taste for building something that was for dick beating purposes. And we didn't need the advertising. So I don't give a **** who you talk to.
