About three years ago one spring, a pair of Mockingbirds show up. Build the nest. Hatch some bird eggs. Of course, mama bird is protective if a cat comes near. Does the usual swoop down at the cat. Always just the same barn cat, we have more than a few.
Next spring, she arrives again, but this year she is good buds with this particular cat and the cat loves the darn bird. They hang out together all during the day quite a bit.
This is the third year for this routine!!! Funny as heck.
We might have a few too many cats but we have NO mice, rats, or snakes!!
