Thanks Dart Doctor
I ordered it in December 1998
Drive it home the day before valentines day 1999
Took my wife for our first date in it on Valentines day.
Drove it on my honeymoon 2.5 years later

My wife is the office manager at the insurance office, where I went to add it to my policy.

It's towed my 67 to Carlisle 5 times and to the Nats 3 times.

My new driver. A 96 one owner that was spared from the Iowa salt by spending winters in Arizona. I sold the topper and put a Truxedo tonneau cover on. I have a 2000 that my oldest is now driving since his Honda shot craps. LOL tmm

First 2 pics are of my 1st Dak. Bought it new 12/31/92... Man I loved that truck but ya couldn't tell it by the way I drove it. Best part was when I found out the 318 magnum only cost $200 more than a V6... Heck yeah! Give me a V8!!... With a few basic bolt on mods it ran a best of 14.41 at 96 mph.

The last 2 pics are my current Dak. An 02 sport with a 4.7 auto I bought with 13,000 miles on it. It's not as fast as the 93 but it still runs good and in a slalom course would run circles around the 93. Gets a lot better fuel mileage too.

Ok you DakOholoics tell me what you see that's not normal in the 2nd pic of the blue goose

Dual snorkel

Yep. I got the idea from a 74 Monaco ex cop car I had when I was a kid. Went to the junkyard and found another breather like mine and carefully removed the inlet and cut another opening in my breather and grafted the other inlet onto my air cleaner. Had to also relocate the battery to the tool box so I could run the other air duct but the cutout on the radiator support was already there so it was plug and play. I never dyno'ed it or did a before and after test at the track but it felt somewhat stronger and hooked up slightly better with the weight of the battery moved to the back.

Yeah them too.

BTW: don't even use that header wrap crap you see on them. Those were heavy gauge headers and the header wrap held in moisture and rusted them completely out in 4 yrs.

Heat dissipation?
I
That's what hood scoops are for! Lol

Yeah, supposedly the wrap holds the heat makes the exhaust more efficient and lowers under hood heat. I think it kept the heat down quite a bit but like you said a hood scoop will too, plus it'd look cooler and not rust out the headers... Live and learn, LOL

Right. Header wrap is good for a race car, but that's about it

I can't say much about it, it was a $500 truck, It worked enough to earn back that $500. Other than that, ehh...
