In past events, the Mopar showing has been, well...weak. I realize it's tough to get out on a weeknight, but hoping to have a Mopar fan showing better than last year's....I'm giving you lots of heads-up time here!....to bring yourself and/or your car and show those Chevy guys a thing or two! Plus, it would be great to meet some of you in person.
The show runs May-September, second Weds. of each month, rain or shine.
Though The Duke ain't gonna make it this year, The Captain and his son, Dusterman79 will be there at least several times over the summer.
See ya there!

Not to bug anyone, but the date is fast approaching. Be sure to mark your calendars, an even if you can't make it with your Mopar, make a showing! Look forward to seeing you there!

Just got the carb fixed yesterday and cleaned her up a little bit in this nice weather we've been having so she's ready.

There have been a few scattered Mopars in the past, but mostly Ford and Chevy. Let's get your Mopar out and show it off!

Ill be there with the 67 Cuda or the 69 Dart if I get it finished with for sale sign on it to fund my kids college and possible divorce. LOL

Trying to get a few buddies also:
70 Challenger
71 GTX
67 Sport Fury
65 Cuda
65 Dodge Wagon

Will we be meeting up and riding in together? Or just whenever we happen to get there?

Since it's a Wednesday evening and most folks have to work (like me) I'd say just show up. I don't have a car ready to show anyway, so I will be parking in front of my sister's house a block away and walking in. If any of you driving in & showing want to meet up and drive/park in a group, let's see a show of hands. Will try to set you guys up.

Capt.

What street is the park on for directions from Mount Prospect? I will try to get there with my 65 Barracuda. Its a busy time of year for me but I need to get her out for a ride. She is far from perfect but drives like a champ. Just needs to be finished body and paint. All it takes is money...donations accepted LOL!

Click on the Google Map link on the home page and expand it as needed.
Closest major route intersection is Route 45 and Route 176...both literally one block away. Let me know if you need further directions...if you tell me exactly what your major route will be I can figure it out. You could take the tollway north and exit west on 22, 60, or 176 if all else fails.

Still planning on going. Got a week to figure out why this thing all of a sudden doesn't want to start.

a) compression
b) spark
c) fuel
d) mechanical (cam timing, etc)
Gotta be one of the above. Find out which one "ain't" and we'll work it through from there....

Looked this up the other day. I plan on being there the 13th.

Got her fixed last night. Battery wasn't able to maintain its CCA when hit with a load. Every time is had a load on it the voltage went to 3.5V. Im bringing a friend over with me, he has a Turbo Camaro SS but doesn't meet the age requirements for the show.

In case you weren't paying attention....
The first Park on Park is THIS WEDNESDAY, May 13th in Mundelein, IL.
Let's get out there and show the Chevy boys a thing or two about nice cars.

Well, got to meet up with YoungDart and check out his Swinger. Veeeeery nice condition for a car that's lived it's whole life in the Salt Capital of the world! My two boys and my brother were there as well as my nephew and my daughter-in-law and granddaughter. I was lookin' for other FABO members; maybe you were there but I didn't see you? Kicking myself for not taking pictures of a totally kickin' T/A Challenger resto that was there. All in all, the Mopar showing was pretty weak compared to Chevy/Ford showing. There was a totally ***-kicking Buick GS Stage 1 455 car there....homminahommina! If I wasn't a Mopar guy.....
Anyway, not bad for a first season show!

Anyone going to Park on Park this month? Ill be there in my /6 Dart if anyone wants to meet up and cruise in together or just get together once were there.
