‘Twas the day after Christmas
I was alone in my house
Not a creature was stirring
Not even a mouse

They were all still sleeping
Tucked tight with lights out
The busy day previous
Had worn them right out

Alone with my coffee pot
I sat and scanned FABO forum
Looking through this that and whatnot
The peace was just awesome

That’s when it started again
I heard a small clatter
I knew it was over
The silence didn’t matter

The family was rising
The animals needed out
Though it was not surprising
I knew there was no doubt

Boxing Day was here
And as you’d presume
With grandkids all near
Toys and noise would resume

The quiet was nice
The silence was golden
But reality is
It’s the kids I love holdin’

So here we go again
A day full of fun
Peace and quiet has ended
Merry Christmas everyone

Tennessee boy born without hands has Christmas wish come true
Posting for every grand child that got toys and things they didn't actually need just because it's
"Christmas".
I've got them.
You probably do as well.
Starting to wear thin.

Hear my prayer, O heavenly Father,
Ere I lay me down to sleep;
Bid Thy angels, pure and holy,
Round my bed their vigil keep.

My sins are heavy, but Thy mercy
Far outweighs them, every one;
Down before Thy cross I cast them,
Trusting in Thy help alone.

Keep me through this night of peril
Underneath its boundless shade;
Take me to Thy rest, I pray Thee,
When my pilgrimage is made.

Mice weren't stirring because I got that little sucker last night !
