My four door 1965 Plymouth Valiant 273 V-8 has evolved somewhat since I purchased it circa 1973 for $125.00.

Foto #1:
When I sold it (circa 1980) I had transformed it into a street legal 4-speed (A833) bracket racer (12.72 ET @ 108 mph).

Foto #2:
Then over the next twenty years the new owners (Renteria Bros) put in a big block and full-frame and it dips into 7.60 these days with current owner (Ken Moorhead). This is still the same steel body car I purchased in 1973.

When it was sold to Moorhead, it was replaced by a fiberglass body version which recently (2018) ran a 5.85 ET @ 253 mph in Pro-Mod class. This is the Renteria Brother's newest version, it does not incorporate any DNA from the original 273 we started with in 1973.

I was working in a Chevron service station out of high school when a 1974 Cadillac stopped in for gas and I asked the owner what color it was: He said "Terra Cotta Firemist." I liked it so much that I used it on the Valiant.
