hey guys I'm new around here but wanted to share my build with everyone.

This 74 duster was bought by my father in 1989 and completed as a back halfed bracket car in 1990. I was born in 1990 so I spent almost every weekend at the track helping him. Fast forward to 2005 my dad taught me to drive in the duster and make my fast pass (6.92@98mph) at 15! Shortly after 18 I was blessed with a son and couldn't afford insurance so off to the army I went. During my first deployment to Afghanistan I asked my dad to purchase a foxbody from a friend of his and he said just buy the duster instead. Deal was way to good to pass up so I got it. In the short 10+ years it went through multiple big blocks. I was medically retired in jan of 2022 and wanted to build it into a fast small tire no prep car. It is mostly complete now with a stock block 498ci stroker at 11:1 compression. It has a solid roller bullet cam specd for boost and indy ez heads. Eledebrock efi intake with holley elbow and amazon 102mm throttle body. 2200 cc injectors and is fed by an on 3 performance 107mm turbo. It has a ptc built converter and glide with a dana 60 and 3.54 gear. Chassis is back halfed ladder bar setup with a good cage (missing 3 bars to cert 7.50) front end is the aje k member with qa1 front coilovers and afco big guns in the rear. We have made only 10 passes so far and converter is wayyyyyy to tight (release transbrake at 4k it will pull engine to 3500 or so and 2k rpm drop on shift with baby boost on it). Next step is pull engine and trans and do a health assessment and have converter rebuilt. It has a 14-45 stator gonna go to 17-0. Goal with the car is be competitive backside no prep (4.80ish range). Once testing goes well we will put her in for paint. I have been working on getting the 8 layers of paint off. Thanks for having me and look forward to communicating!
