Thank you! The number graphics came from a shop in Green Bay.. dug for what seemed like hours what would look good on this. The fender graphics are from stuff I had laying around. The tire lettering is hand painted acrylic.Heck Yeah ! That's what l'm about!
Never could / did get into the straight line thing. Could never figure out what the big deal was in a 8 or 9 second "race"
Awesome.looking car.
Thank you for posting
Looking at the pic, I agree. Now I have to break out the dremel and re-engineer that setup. Probably going to be a mid-January -20 weather job. That's cool!
The gas tank sits too low for my tastes though..........
Looks like a cool winter project!Looking at the pic, I agree. Now I have to break out the dremel and re-engineer that setup. Probably going to be a mid-January -20 weather job.
Chopping that tank up is an hour job. Mating a notchback resin body to a styrene frame is probably going to be my winter project... unless I happen to win the lottery, and can get my garage insulated and heated. Then the winter project will be my 1:1 notchLooks like a cool winter project!
I've thrown more than a few myself, lol. I just wish I was near as good with 1:1 cars.I always envied people who could do that. I never had the patience. I've thrown a few. LOL Now, I don't know WHY, but I can scratch build the coolest model trains you ever saw.

I've thought about that. I built this 8-10 years ago.. I used latch-hook backer for it, but it does look out of scale, too thick and straight. I'm thinking some twine, or maybe kite string, lay it down on some wax paper, weaving it. Then coat with some watered down elmers white glue enough bind it. Lay it up on the door frame, spray it with a bit of water to give it a little bend, let it dry. Take it off, paint it with some acrylic flat black, trim, put it in from the inside of the body.could you make the window net out of mesh? Just to help with the scale factor...That looks like a very relaxing hobby.
