The rusty ram

Im getting a late start today it was raining this morning so I slept in a bit and been lazy. This afternoon on the agenda is brake lines and while I'm under there im might start preparing to swap the beds. I need to swap the leaf springs too. When I rebuilt the front end last year I installed new coils well the old rusty leafs are weak and it gave it the ridiculous Carolina squat look. I gotta fix that I don't want someone thinking I did that on purpose haha. All jokes aside i do use this truck for hauling and towing alot so I need some stiffer leafs in the back.

I just bought a new steel body and called it money well spent.

The black and the red one are the same.
I took the boggers off when it was black, then painted it red. Also stole the M8000 winch off it for my car trailer.
 
More progress done on the rusty ram. Got the brakes fixed and bleed. Got that pesky bumper off and sanded the drivers side fender and got it painted its got alot more rot than I first thought lol its still better than the original one I got some patching to do

Thanks, its just all will-power to get stuff done, one bolt at a time.
I really liked the look of it when it was black, but it drove like crap with the bias tires on it.
Skinny radials and a gallon of Summit single stage brought it to life.
Sad thing I drove it about 1,000 miles and parked it.
Have not drove it in at least 2 years, it still sits with license and insurance on it, waiting its turn.
License is only $35 for 10 years, and insurance is only $4.50 a month, so no reason to let it lapse.
But it is out of any weather, so it still looks great.

I would find different doors for that truck, fixing them will make you mad at the world.

Yea id like to. Trouble is they all look like that used. And I ain't paying new prices! Geez they are expensive lol

Part one is up! Part two is uploading it should be done in a few hours. Sorry to the guys that don't like long videos these got really long on me!
 
You all know how easy it is to get sucked into a project and it just escalates quickly. I was doing some searching and found these I may try them out. This is a budget project but I can get all six pieces for 244 thats not to bad, and I can make it look halfway good. I can replace the lower doors and rockers swap out the bed and have a mostly rust free truck. I think it's worth trying, if nothing more than the experience!
