I just don't leave you car guys alone here!! Lol

So I just dropped my 727 trans to get rid of the off the shelf TCI tourqe converter for a custom built Dynamic from Frank.

My question is do I have the trans inspected or tuned up? Everything worked and shifted just fine this past summer but I just don't want to cut any corners now that I have it out.

If it was fine I would leave it alone. What real differences in the TQ!

If you were happy with the shift points with the gear you are running then nothing changes short of stall speed theoreticaly!
 
If it ain't broke ... don't fix it. You can always make adjustments (bands, etc.) when it's in the truck if need be. Get it back in and have fun. Nice SC. I use one from Frank as well. The thing is like butter on the street and a monster on the track. Btw: Like the truck a lot.

Do you guys always replace the seal which the converter slides into. I replaced it last year with new motor and TCI converter.
 
as long as it's not burned up and wasn't leaking before, just make sure you put a little grease on it when you re install the converter
