I never started a build thread, so here is where I am at. The car: 1969 Valiant, 2 door. Originally /6 225, auto. 7 1/4 rear. Now 408 1991 roller block(476hp, 513fp tq on the dyno) A833 (non O.D.) 8 3/4 rear (3.93'3) sure grip.

The Story: My great Aunt bought the car New in early 69. I can still remember her coming to pick up me, mom, and my sister to go visit our great Uncle Dell (her brother, a WWII VET) while dad's was at work. She had to go to a retirement home in the early 90's and the car was to go to my sister. Well, she decided she did not want it (had stoped running and had no money to fix), so she handed her over to me ( still in Aunt Nellys name). The car sat at my mom and dad's untill 97 when I had bought a running ( beat up ) 74?? Dart. I bought the Dart for the 318, 727, and 8 1/4 rear. Drove her off and on for a bit, till the 318 spun a bearing ( it was bad ). A friend of mine had a 318 built for his mid to late 70's 4x4. The truck was a mess and sold me the motor for the car. Just sold him that motor back not to long ago.

Now: Like it says at the top, I have ready to drop in a 408, A833, & 8 3/4. Have had the pass and driver's side front floor pans replaced, disk brakes up front, bigger T. bars, sway bar.. Got new carpet, 're upholstered bucket seats, rear seat, and panels. Currently at the body/paint shop :blob:

Sorry, having troubles loading pics from my kindle fire... :violent1:

Nice build, love the Valliant's. I'm thinking that thing will be awesome with that 408 in it.

What color are you going with?

I'm also in the process doing a 69 Valiant. Mine was in pieces when I got it.As I have never did a post car I may ask you from time to time for pictures of centain details as I go along.

Happy to help!!

Keith Mopar: the outside will be B5 blue and keeping the I inside black.

Got a call from the body shop yesterday, says he is all done with body work and wants me to come down and look it over before he starts spraying the primer:blob: . I'll try to get better pics this time....

You knew I'd "Come check it out," right? You are even in Washington

No pics to update with yet, but I should have her back very very snoon!! I have gotten some stuff done while it's out. I rebuilt my heater/vent box. Had some broken fiberglass so I fixed all that. New heater core and blower motor, glass beaded and plated all the metal parts (internal and external), and Got my new top plates in for the 4 speed console!! When I get her back, it should just be putting her back together...

Got her back from paint about a week ago, still needs wet sanding, but its looking great! Body and paint by Bobby Dickson @ setonwet (set on wet) restorations in Spanaway washington.
