Awesome! I havent seen this thread for a bit, excited to see the motor swap pics in this thread... Turbo 4's have such a HUGE fun Factor in my book, not to mention the economy... More PICS!!!

Is the Dakota trans same as Colorado? What years did the Dakota come with the 2.5 and that five speed. Thanks for the info. Really considering doing the swap on my midget.

the dakota had it's own trans 93-95 2.5 dakota bell housing but there my be more years included. i don't know. here is the link for the neon powered midget... http://forums.neons.org/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=369388url

Very cool car to start with then it gets cooler!

Wow this is the second thread that I've come across that involves an SRT-4... I think its way cool. I was all set to build a slant six and from what I understand its going to cost a boatload to get something that is heaver and not preform as well. Its really got me thinking to go with something like this. Awesome work by the way on your build.

thanks. and you should go for it.

I own both a 2004 SRT-4 and a 64 Dodge Dart. And I FREAKING LOVE this swap. The only thing is. Depending on the year that motor came from, there are differences in the blocks between the older 2.4 and the 03+ 2.4. If youre looking for power, checkout AGP. for around a grand you can have a bigger turbo kit that will net you about 500 Horses and 580 ft.lbs ON STOCK SRT INTERNALS!

No problem. Ive done a lot of work to my SRT. And my dads a Chrysler mechanic, if you have any specific questions, feel free to PM me. Although it seems like you know what your doing!

So are you just runnin everything stock or are you gonna build it up some?

first i want to see how affordable i can do this with oem and bone yard parts. this way others will realize what they can do the swap for in dollars. every time some one ask's questions about a swap that no one has done the first thing that comes out of the ney say'rs mouth, is some un Godly cost. how would they know if it hasn't been done. that's the mouth of the uninformed. any way after the initial swap then i will decide where i want the power to go

Cool! This thread should be helpful to a lot of future swappers! Lol keep up the great work! Can't wait to see more progress!!

Now that you've gone and started something really awesome (turbo 4) and captured my interest...it's been 3 weeks, so where's the updates.

alright went yesterday and picked up a few things mainly the turbo'fold. also the computer and harness. so i took some time to do a little more mock up of this!!

Hey Rich, very nice. Cant believe there is still that much room in the engine compartment. Would have thought it would have been closer to the shock towers than it is. Great update.
Tim

You have the other head on there right? Can't recall what itwas off of or the name of it. Looks good.

thanks tim. that's the 420A head also known as the eclipse/ avenger head. this saves you from needing a custom intake manifold.
