Lets see,
You have a clean car that you know what it is and what you would like it to be.
So buy someone else's car, know nothing about it and start over.
Nice clean straight body, repair someone's mistakes?
Mod the one you have. It isn't original now, so as long as you don't make ilreversable mods, it could be in the future.
Unless you want to maintain 2 cars one fast & fun other ALMOST ORGINAL, JUST DO THE ONE YOU HAVE.
If it were a high dollar car might be a different story. But even a factory 340 car they are still affordable.
AC, get Classic Air, looks stock inside and save your parts if you ever want to return it. No extra holes needed to install. Coil overs, disc brakes all 4, and even the rear mod. All improvements that most would like to have. Hurt the value? Maybe? But not to the point of starting over cost.
My 2 cents

Actually have thought of redoing mine again. Have owned it 20 years this June, should have done it the other way to begin with. I know what I have, sell this and start over, or take my very straight car and make some changes.
