Trying to find a set of sidepipes like vettes had, where the 4 pipes come out into the sidepipe, not the shielded ones like patriot has, hopefully with 2 1/2'' inlet, i cant seem to find any. any help or thoughts would be appreciated!

I had em on my 68 Chevelle......cool looking but they hang up on curbs and stuff. Left one on the side of the road on Dodge street in Omaha. 1981 was a blur.

I drank a lot when I was 16.....

You'll have to get them made. I never recall the 4:1 style ever being made for anything but Corvettes & Camaros. Or Cobras.

i realize its not a real 4 into 1, just want the look. its for the wifes 72 340 duster, i put on pypes violators reversed for the "rude' sound. turned out to be a little too rank for her, goin for 70s look, it came with the old rebar flares and rear wheels stickin out, we want it to differ from my demon, tired of idiots askin me if i painted my car again

They sound pretty good with the 2 1/2" slide in glasspacks on my 470 Stroker ... I got them off e-bay ... they are Doug Thorley show tubes .... Dan

Hell yes.
The trick is to distribute both engine bank exhaust pulses out of both pipes so you have 8 cylinders firing out of each side instead of just 4

Got a hospital with a burn unit by your house. Your goin to need it.

But only 1 is functional.
I see. I got my reply from below;

"Exhaust, Lake Pipe 4, Steel, Chrome, Four 2 in. Diameter Inlets/One Functional, 3.5 in. Pipe, 73 in. Long, Kit"

Then read on to see;
"one functioning inlet tube and 3 dress-up tubes"

A little confusing!

I love the look.....but do yourself a favor first. Try and hear some on a car with a similar engine. IMO, they don't sound real good........because you only hear one side of the engine at the time. Sounds like it's skippin. But they do look cool.

Hummm, how about an X pipe into AAR type styled mufflers routing the pipe forward? 90* into the side pipe?

Try to find someplace where 2 Vipers are together, one with side exhaust and the other with rear exhaust, and you be your own judge. I had a friend that had a late 60's Corvette with a 427 and the factory side exhaust. It sounded like ****! I had friends back when we were younger that dumped their exhaust out in front of the rear wheels, again-they sounded like ****. Just my opinion.

Exactly Rob. They would sound pretty badass getting the entire exhaust tone out of each side. I'm considering doing this to match my tunnel ram. It appears you are the only one who read my post above.

Naaaaaa, it's just no one thought of it.

I had them on my Dart in 74. Never again! Back tire blew and slid around. Side pipe caught on shoulder of road and flipped my car over in the ditch.
