It's always slightly surprising when one pushes the gas pedal and it stop pushing back. Yeah it fell to the floor the other day driving home and I knew it was the throttle cable. But it did not detatch itself, the cable itself broke, so I'm now in the market for a new throttle cable--which apparently no one cares to sell. My question is, can I just pickup a generic cable (like what one would buy for a manual choke carb) and make that work or is there some obscure vendor that has replacement cables. I tried the big names (Year One, Summit, Paddock) but no dice.

Thanks

However ... not all stock cables have the same firewall grommet.
