Throttle Cable

I'm tired of using the search feature that doesn't work. What's everybody using for a throttle cable on the early A with the V8 pedal assembly with either the Super Six conversion or 4 barrel?

I'm pretty sure I'm using a 340 cable on my 4-barrel slant. But it's been a long time since I did the conversion and my memory has betrayed me before. I can go out to my garage and measure the length of the cable from firewall to carb if that would help.

OK, went out to check. Not easy to measure a curved cable with a metal tape, but my 63 Valiant slant six cable appears to be the same length as the cable in my 67 Barracuda 360 - roughly 17 inches from firewall to the carb attachment. The cable in my 65 Barracuda (340) is only 15 inches. I don't think a shorter cable would work on my slant six. Different year, different linkage, who knows?
