thrust pin

hi folks
is it necessary to remove the thust pin from an 8 3/4 limited slip with stock axles and green bearings installed? seems like my rear end is getting louder thru time wonder if leaving in the thrust pin might be the reason

i think it has to be removed when green bearings are used because the axles wont fully seat...i removed my thrust block with stock axles and green bearings...
