timming jumping around?

-
It dident jump i checked that and the msd ignition is all preused

Does it have vacuum advance on the dist? What is that hooked up to? Does it jump around when you unplug the vacuum advance?

Did you check the cap terminals yet? AS mentionned, (and I apologize if I missed the answer...) did you try a different timing light?

under the cap right? Ya I checked it and I dident see any black burn marks.
My idle revs up then goes back down . I have the crosswind intake and its suppose to have some plugs for the holes im not using maybe this is causing vaccum leak? But I dont know about the timing.

If you are useing a MSD ignition box you either need to use msd's timing light or a old school timing light with out the advance dial. Just use timing tape or a aftermarket balancer. I went through the same thing last year. I tryed everthing posted here. It was driving me crazy for weeks. I finally used timing tape and left my advance dial off and it was perfect. I think msd changed something in there box because I have two other cars with older msd box's in them that I never had a problem with. A friend also had the same problem a few weeks ago and his msd was the same way. Good luck.

Cross winds also have porsity issues taht could creat vacuum leaks. But that wont make the timing bounce. It will make it run like poop.

ok thanks, I just put in the light silver, light blue and black bushing and it starts right up, now Im just going to check the timing and see how it is. Thanks guys
