Just got a 72 Dart, with a 8 3/4. the leaf springs are in the stock location, wanting to fit a 28/10.5 slick under it,

Do I need to, mini tub it? do a relocation kit on it?

What backspacing to use?

Any info. on this? thanks what have yall guys done to get these tires to fit?

28X10.5 will at least need to have the springs moved. a 28X9 should work but will be tight.

You've only got 12" of well to work with and less than that if the spring is in stock location.

Most true 28x10.50's, 10.50w's or anything else, are in the 11.5-12.0 section width range.

Here's a 70 Dart that I'm trying to put 275/60/15 et radials under. Has a 1/2-3/4" hanger relocation. It's TIGHT! Maybe have 5/16" on each side of tire to well.

I believe you will need to move the springs under the frame rail. Using 28" may get you very close to the lip of the fender at the front of the wheel opening. I had to modify my fender to fit 28" tires.

Just go ahead and mini tub and relocate you will be glad you did.:yawinkle:

Stock A body axle, 7.25-7.5" is about right for BS on a 10" rim.

Can't wait to see it done. Here's a little insperation.
