Tires for 64 Dart

What do you think would be the best tires to put on my friends 64 Dart 273 Convertible 4-speed w/ 323 gears.
Its stock and has P215/7014 Uniroyal Tiger Paws GTS on it now but they are very old.
Sticking with the 14 inch tires. Are BF Goodrich Radial TA P215/70R14 a good option or are Uniroyal a good choice.

I had a hard time finding Uniroyal or other brands thru Websites etc and zero patience. After a week or two of frustration ordered BFG 205/70/14 front 235/80/14 rear.

Car had old Tigers on it white letter out that I liked the look. Running BFG's as blackwall.

Now to get the durn thing running.

Probably lol, I'm an idiot, took pic for ref, no ideer of vendor etc. As moved on.

Was a major PIA as live far from sales screws and ZERO patience.

Replaced years ago with the larger bolt pattern Rallye 14 inch wheel. So I am guessing 14 x 6

I like the BFG 225/60-14s. RWL out. Have them all the way around on my 14x6 Cragars. They look meaty, but are geared very well for the 3.23 sure grip in it.

I use 225/70/R14 BFG's on my 5 1/2" wide stock wheels. They fit, ride, and wear fine.

Check out Cooper Cobra's. I think they are a better tire than the BFG's. Lots of sizes to choose from.

I have the BFG's on my 63 Dart 170. 225/60R14 rear and 215/60R14 on the front. Running 14x5.5 steelies with dog dish caps. Really like them

What's the goal? Looks period correct? Durable? Drag car? Good mileage? Good street handling? Lowest lap time around Road Atlanta?

Define the job, then pick the right tool for it.

On my 63, I'm running the BFG 215/70R-14 on the rear & 205/70-14 on the front. Both using aftermarket 6" wide rallys. Word of caution though. The BFG white letters tend to turn brown very quickly and almost impossible to keep bright white. I just flipped to blackwall out.

I went with 215/70 r14 Cooper Cobras when I upgraded my wheels and tires from stock. 4 new wheels with sbp and 4 new tires was 800 mounted and balanced. Totally changed the look of the car with those and the rattle can paint job. Turned out pretty good.. Very happy with them.
