Title search

I was just looking online to see if I could get a "Car Fax" type report for my Dart. It seems that these older cars only have 13 numbers in the vin. These title search sites only look for the vin's that are 17 or more numbers in length. Other than police or maybe even the DMV for your state, is
there aywhere to look? Thanks.

The State title office can give you past owners in the past for your state. I know NC charges a fee.

Depending on the state you live in they can maybe do a title search, but of course you will have to pay for it. Not unusual.
