So, Would a dark cherry metallic paint with a black hood and black interior Look good? or would the hood kind of clash... I may have to find a more of a Black cherry color..

How about the grill?.... black? dark cherry? or keep it silver..

It would look great, just my thoughts, are you thinking flat black? classic mopar look or a glossy black. I think either would look good. For the grille hmmmmmm thats a toughy well chrome always looks good witha deep red and would offset the hood alittle. Or maybe a darker silver or gray would be nice.
Just my two cents :toothy10: either way itll look really f***in nice

Yeah that cherry color is real nice.

I always like that color combo, the black hood and a different color body.

Night Rider, are you from blazing saddles? haha

Started on the driver side fender... only a couple little dings...

looks great so far!
ask your bodyman buddies about that red putty your using. your going to find it has a good chance of shrinkage. which will suck after you get paint on it.

the red stuff is getting sanded off... I had to primer what work I did because the weather turned pretty quick... it's just spot putty that spread out pretty far. All the spots that are already covered by the primer were sanded down to little dimples dime sized or smaller.
Luckily the body is in damn good shape... Worst part is the bottom edge of the back window (rusted through).

Not much of an update, too cold outside. But here are pics fo the grill I picked up at the local pick a part.

It's in ok condition. There is a couple very very small cracks but those should be fixed with relative ease.

Car is looking great. I can't wait to get laid off to have time to work on mine. Wait,,,, LAID OFF.... How will I afford to work on it????????

Keep up the good work.

After some deliberation.... engine is coming out... repainting the engine bay while I send the 360 to the machine shop and set it up with new pistons and play with my heads some more.

After doing the math, new short block after machine work and parts should run me close to $850. Hopefully I find a different rear end shortly after.
When the engine bay is fixed, then I shall finish the small bits of body work (worst of which is the back window).

I figured there's no point in finishing the body work and getting the paint done when I may run the risk of ruining the new paint when I have to put the engine back in.
